30d20b110e Don't read private key files for offline KSKs
When we are appending contents of a DNSKEY rdataset to a keylist,
don't attempt to read the private key file of a KSK when we are in
offline-ksk mode.

091d738c72 Convert all categories and modules into static lists
Remove the complicated mechanism that could be (in theory) used by
external libraries to register new categories and modules with
statically defined lists in <isc/log.h>. This is similar to what we
have done for <isc/result.h> result codes. All the libraries are now
internal to BIND 9, so we don't need to provide a mechanism to register
extra categories and modules.

dns_difftuple_create() could only return success, so change
its type to void and clean up all the calls to it.

other functions that only returned a result value because of it
have been cleaned up in the same way.

daaa70f48b Refactor dns_keystore_directory()
Add a default key-directory parameter to the function that can
be returned if there is no keystore, or if the keystore directory
is NULL (the latter is also true for the built-in keystore).

18b566ccea Refactor findzonekeys
Move dns_dnssec_findzonekeys from the dnssec.{c,h} source code to
zone.{c,h} (the header file already commented that this should be done
inside dns_zone_t).

Alter the function in such a way, that keys are searched for in the
key stores if a 'dnssec-policy' (kasp) is attached to the zone,
otherwise keep using the zone's key-directory.

9081426313 Refactor findmatchingkeys and keylistfromrdataset
Refactor dns_dnssec_findmatchingkeys and dns_dnssec_keylistfromrdataset
to take into account the key store directories in case the zone is using
dnssec-policy (kasp). Add 'kasp' and 'keystores' parameters.

This requires the keystorelist to be stored inside the zone structure.

The calls to these functions in the DNSSEC tools can use NULL as the
kasp value, as dnssec-signzone does not (yet) support dnssec-policy,
and key collision is checked inside the directory where it is created.

bd4576b3ce Remove TKEY Mode 2 (Diffie-Hellman)
Completely remove the TKEY Mode 2 (Diffie-Hellman Exchanged Keying) from
BIND 9 (from named, named.conf and all the tools). The TKEY usage is
fringe at best and in all known cases, GSSAPI is being used as it should.

The draft-eastlake-dnsop-rfc2930bis-tkey specifies that:

    4.2 Diffie-Hellman Exchanged Keying (Deprecated)

The use of this mode (#2) is NOT RECOMMENDED for the following two
reasons but the specification is still included in Appendix A in case
an implementation is needed for compatibility with old TKEY
implementations. See Section 4.6 on ECDH Exchanged Keying.

The mixing function used does not meet current cryptographic
standards because it uses MD5 [RFC6151].

RSA keys must be excessively long to achieve levels of security
          required by current standards.

We might optionally implement Elliptic Curve Diffie-Hellman (ECDH) key
exchange mode 6 if the draft ever reaches the RFC status. Meanwhile the
insecure DH mode needs to be removed.

3d05c99abb Update dns_dnssec_syncdelete() function
Update the function that synchronizes the CDS and CDNSKEY DELETE
records. It now allows for the possibility that the CDS DELETE record
is published and the CDNSKEY DELETE record is not, and vice versa.

Also update the code in zone.c how 'dns_dnssec_syncdelete()' is called.

With KASP, we still maintain the DELETE records our self. Otherwise,
we publish the CDS and CDNSKEY DELETE record only if they are added
to the zone. We do still check if these records can be signed by a KSK.

This change will allow users to add a CDS and/or CDNSKEY DELETE record
manually, without BIND removing them on the next zone sign.

Note that this commit removes the check whether the key is a KSK, this
check is redundant because this check is also made in
'dst_key_is_signing()' when the role is set to DST_BOOL_KSK.

20f0936cf2 Remove use of the inline keyword used as suggestion to compiler
Historically, the inline keyword was a strong suggestion to the compiler
that it should inline the function marked inline. As compilers became
better at optimising, this functionality has receded, and using inline
as a suggestion to inline a function is obsolete. The compiler will
happily ignore it and inline something else entirely if it finds that's
a better optimisation.

Therefore, remove all the occurences of the inline keyword with static
functions inside single compilation unit and leave the decision whether
to inline a function or not entirely on the compiler

NOTE: We keep the usage the inline keyword when the purpose is to change
the linkage behaviour.

fe7ce629f4 Add FALLTHROUGH macro for __attribute__((fallthrough))
Gcc 7+ and Clang 10+ have implemented __attribute__((fallthrough)) which
is explicit version of the /* FALLTHROUGH */ comment we are currently
using.

Add and apply FALLTHROUGH macro that uses the attribute if available,

In one case (lib/dns/zone.c), using the macro revealed that we were
using the /* FALLTHROUGH */ comment in wrong place, remove that comment.

58bd26b6cf Update the copyright information in all files in the repository
This commit converts the license handling to adhere to the REUSE
specification. It specifically:

1. Adds used licnses to LICENSES/ directory

2. Add "isc" template for adding the copyright boilerplate

3. Changes all source files to include copyright and SPDX license
header, this includes all the C sources, documentation, zone files,
configuration files. There are notes in the doc/dev/copyrights file
on how to add correct headers to the new files.

4. Handle the rest that can't be modified via .reuse/dep5 file. The
binary (or otherwise unmodifiable) files could have license places
next to them in <foo>.license file, but this would lead to cluttered
repository and most of the files handled in the .reuse/dep5 file are
   system test files.

2e3a2eecfe Make isc_result a static enum
Remove the dynamic registration of result codes. Convert isc_result_t
from unsigned + #defines into 32-bit enum type in grand unified
<isc/result.h> header. Keep the existing values of the result codes
even at the expense of the description and identifier tables being
unnecessary large.

Additionally, add couple of:

    switch (result) {
    [...]
    default:
        break;
    }

statements where compiler now complains about missing enum values in the
switch statement.

66f2cd228d Use isdigit instead of checking character range
When looking for key files, we could use isdigit rather than checking
if the character is within the range [0-9].

Use (unsigned char) cast to ensure the value is representable in the
unsigned char type (as suggested by the isdigit manpage).

Change " & 0xff" occurrences to the recommended (unsigned char) type
cast.

7ed089576f Try to read state when reading keylist from rdata
The function 'dns_dnssec_keylistfromrdataset()' creates a keylist from
the DNSKEY RRset. If we attempt to read the private key, we also store
the key state. However, if the private key is offline, the key state
will not be stored. To fix this, first attempt to read the public key
file. If then reading the private key file fails, and we do have a
public key, add that to the keylist, with appropriate state. If we
also failed to read the public key file, add the DNSKEY to the keylist,
as we did before.

8c526cb67f Purge keys implementation
On each keymgr run, we now also check if key files can be removed.
The 'purge-keys' interval determines how long keys should be retained
after they have become completely hidden.

Key files should not be removed if it has a state that is set to
something else then HIDDEN, if purge-keys is 0 (disabled), if
the key goal is set to OMNIPRESENT, or if the key is unused (a key is
unused if no timing metadata set, and no states are set or if set,
they are set to HIDDEN).

If the last changed timing metadata plus the purge-keys interval is
in the past, the key files may be removed.

Add a dst_key_t variable 'purge' to signal that the key file should
not be written to file again.

e6c5ecd698 Update kasp test with CDNSKEY checks
Add checks to the kasp system test to verify CDNSKEY publication.
This test is not entirely complete, because when there is a CDNSKEY
available but there should not be one for KEY N, it is hard to tell
whether the existing CDNSKEY actually belongs to KEY N or another
key.

The check works if we expect a CDNSKEY although we cannot guarantee
that the CDNSKEY is correct: The test verifies existence, not
correctness of the record.
