b0214977e8 Instead of storing parentheses deltas, just copy lex->paren_count and

3f123dcc2f 487. [port] flockfile() is not defined on all systems. 
Also check for libpthreads, if libpthread isn't found.

743add946b Comment out calls to flockfile() and funlockfile(), since it's not 
evident that they're needed, and they don't work on all platforms without
threads.

40f53fa8d9 Trailing whitespace trimmed. Perhaps running "perl util/spacewhack.pl in your 
own CVS tree will help minimize CVS conflicts.  Maybe not.
Blame Graff for getting me to trim all trailing whitespace.
