03947eb7ec Python tests: Ported UNIX sockets to Windows
Unix sockets (AF_UNIX) are not supported on Windows.
The replacement of Unix sockets on Windows is implemented
using named pipes, we are trying to mimic the behaviour
of unix sockets.

Instead of using Unix sockets to communicate
between components Named Pipes are used. This
makes the python sockets compatible with the
Named Pipe used in Windows applications.

884e0dfe8f python: Add double newline after fuction or class (E305).
pycodestyle >= 2.1.0 reports E305 otherwise, and the flake8-check step
fails.

58de9fc30e python: Drop use of types.FunctionType.
This code asserted that the callback argument was of type
types.FunctionType. It's more pythonic to just check that the argument
is callable, and not specifically that it's a function. There are other
ways to implement a callback than types.FunctionType.

1ccbf95c6e python: Drop use of types.StringTypes.
types.StringTypes does not exist in Python 3. We can use
six.string_types, instead.

25f599fbd3 python: Drop unicode type.
Python 2 had str and unicode. Python 3 only has str, which is always a
unicode string. Drop use of unicode with the help of six.text_type
(unicode in py2 and str in py3) and six.string_types ([str, unicode] in
py2 and [str] in py3).

b3ac29477d python: Stop using xrange().
Python 2 had range() and xrange(). xrange() is more efficient, but
behaves differently so range() was retained for compatibility. Python 3
only has range() and it behaves like Python 2's xrange().

Remove explicit use of xrange() and use six.moves.range() to
make sure we're using xrange() from Python 2 or range() from Python 3.

53cf9963cc python: Break unixctl implementation into registry, client, and server.
I wish to add some unixctl commands to the Python vlog module. However,
importing ovs.unixctl in ovs.vlog creates a circular dependency, because
ovs.unixctl imports ovs.vlog already. The solution, in this commit, is to
break the unixctl module into three parts: a register (ovs.unixctl) that
does not depend on ovs.vlog, and client (ovs.unixctl.client) and server
(ovs.unixctl.server) modules that do. This breaks the circular dependency.
