4e8e4213a8 Switch many macros from using CONTAINER_OF to using OBJECT_CONTAINING.
These macros require one fewer argument by switching, which makes code
that uses them shorter and more readable.

5136ce492c vlog: Introduce VLOG_DEFINE_THIS_MODULE for declaring vlog module in use.
Adding a macro to define the vlog module in use adds a level of
indirection, which makes it easier to change how the vlog module must be
defined. A followup commit needs to do that, so getting these widespread
changes out of the way first should make that commit easier to review.

bc39196036 Cleanup default file locations and XenServer packaging
This commit cleans up the locations of a number of files and directories
used. These include:

    - Config file lives in /etc/openvswitch/conf.db
    - Logs go into /var/log/openvswitch
    - ovsdb-server socket is /var/run/openvswitch/db.sock
    - Schema goes into /usr/share/openvswitch/vswitch.ovsschema
    - PID files go in /var/run/openvswitch

For XenServer, these additional changes are made:

    - Cores go in /var/xen/openvswitch
    - OVS binaries run in /var/xen/openvswitch

In addition, it attempts to cleanup the XenServer packaging. This
includes referring to the project as "openvswitch" as opposed to the
somewhat presumptuous "vswitch".

Note: Changes to the Debian packaging will be forthcoming.

c69ee87c10 Merge "master" into "next".
The main change here is the need to update all of the uses of UNUSED in
the next branch to OVS_UNUSED as it is now spelled on "master".

a723bf84fb unixctl: Improve error reporting.
The ovs_error() function is our standard way of reporting startup errors,
so use it. (It also outputs the program name at the beginning of the
message.)

3fbe1d307e Make ovs-appctl easier to use and synchronize its interface with ovs-vsctl.
It is inconvenient to type the whole path to the Unix daemon socket when
using ovs-appctl. Allow the name of the daemon to be used instead when
a pidfile exists in the default location, and contact ovs-vswitchd by
default.

Also, the various options for manipulating vlog were invented before the
general-purpose command mechanism existed. Get rid of all of the action
options in favor of just specifying the command to be executed as
non-option arguments.

Finally, there simply wasn't much value in allowing multiple targets or
options to be specified; these variations were never used in practice. So
simplify the interface by making it one target, one action per invocation.

Also, make ovs-vsctl use the same syntax for its --target option.

Based on work by Justin Pettit.

8ca79daaa0 unixctl: Allow passing auxiliary data to unixctl commands.
This will allow users of unixctl to avoid using global variables, leading
to cleaner code.

6a0061cbf5 fatal-signal: New function fatal_signal_unlink_file_now().
This is a helper function that combines two actions that callers commonly
wanted. It will have an additional user in an upcoming commit.

be2c418b73 Cleanup isdigit() warnings.
NetBSD's gcc complains if isdigit()'s argument is an unadorned char. This
provides an appropriate cast.

This is both more convenient and cleaner than using HMAP_FOR_EACH(_SAFE)
directly.
