8fd4792403 flow: Always inline miniflows.
Now that performance critical code already inlines miniflows and
minimasks, we can simplify struct miniflow by always dynamically
allocating miniflows and minimasks to the correct size. This changes
the struct minimatch to always contain pointers to its miniflow and
minimask.

9ad11dbe4c pkt-metadata: Avoid introducing overhead for userspace tunnels.
The addition of Geneve metadata requires a large amount of additional
space to handle the maximum set of options. In most cases, this is
not a big deal since it is only temporary storage on the stack or
can be automatically stripped out for miniflows. However, userspace
tunnels need to deal with this on a per-packet basis, so we should
avoid introducing additional overhead if possible. Two small changes
are aimed at this:

 * Move struct flow_tnl to the end of the packet metadata. Since
the Geneve metadata is already at the end of flow_tnl and pkt_metadata
is at the end of struct dp_packet, this avoids putting a large
amount metadata (which might be empty) in hot cache lines.

 * Only push the new metadata into a miniflow if any options are present
during miniflow_extract(). This does not necessarily provide the
most fine-grained flow generation but it is a quick check and
the userspace implementation of Geneve does not currently support
   options anyways.

9558d2a548 tunnel: Geneve TLV handling support for OpenFlow.
The current support for Geneve in OVS is exactly equivalent to VXLAN:
it is possible to set and match on the VNI but not on any options
contained in the header. This patch enables the use of options.

The goal for Geneve support is not to add support for any particular option
but to allow end users or controllers to specify what they would like to
match. That is, the full range of Geneve's capabilities should be exposed
without modifying the code (the one exception being options that require
per-packet computation in the fast path).

The main issue with supporting Geneve options is how to integrate the
fields into the existing OpenFlow pipeline. All existing operations
are referred to by their NXM/OXM field name - matches, action generation,
arithmetic operations (i.e. tranfer to a register). However, the Geneve
option space is exactly the same as the OXM space, so a direct mapping
is not feasible. Instead, we create a pool of 64 NXMs that are then
dynamically mapped on Geneve option TLVs using OpenFlow. Once mapped,
these fields become first-class citizens in the OpenFlow pipeline.

An example of how to use Geneve options:
ovs-ofctl add-geneve-map br0 {class=0xffff,type=0,len=4}->tun_metadata0
ovs-ofctl add-flow br0 in_port=LOCAL,actions=set_field:0xffffffff->tun_metadata0,1

This will add a 4 bytes option (filled will all 1's) to all packets
coming from the LOCAL port and then send then out to port 1.

A limitation of this patch is that although the option table is specified
for a particular switch over OpenFlow, it is currently global to all
switches. This will be addressed in a future patch.

Based on work originally done by Madhu Challa. Ben Pfaff also significantly
improved the comments.

50dcbd8ed4 ofp-util: Convert flow_metadata to match structure.
We have a special flow_metadata structure to represent the parts
of a packet that aren't carried in the payload itself. This is
used in the case where we need to send the packet as a Packet In
to an OpenFlow controller. This is a subset of the more general
struct flow.

In practice, almost all operations we do on this structure involve
converting it to or from a match or have code that is the same as
a match. Serialization to NXM and back is done as a match. There
is special flow_metadata formatting code that is almost identical
to match formatting.

The uses for struct flow_metadata aren't performance critical
when it comes to memory, so we can save quite a bit of code by
just using a match structure directly instead. In addition, as
metadata increases and becomes more complex (Geneve options require
some special handling beyond just additional fields), using the
match structure means we only have to do this work in one place.

82eb5b0aba dp-packet: Remove 'frame' member.
In 'struct ofpbuf' the 'frame' pointer was used to parse different kinds of
data (Ethernet, OpenFlow, Netlink attributes). For Ethernet packets the
'frame' pointer was supposed to have the same value as the 'data'
pointer.

Since 'struct dp_packet' is only used for Ethernet packets, there's no
need for a separate 'frame' pointer: we can use the 'data' pointer
instead.

e6d9ab56ee flow_format: Do not format "in_port=0".
flow_format() is used mainly for formating the headers of packets
embedded in OpenFlow PACKET_IN messages. In this case the flow does
not have a valid port number, and printing out "in_port=0" only
confuses the resulting output. Besides, 0 is not a valid OpenFlow

d70e8c28f9 miniflow: Use 64-bit data.
So far the compressed flow data in struct miniflow has been in 32-bit
words with a 63-bit map, allowing for a maximum size of struct flow of
252 bytes. With the forthcoming Geneve options this is not sufficient
any more.

This patch solves the problem by changing the miniflow data to 64-bit
words, doubling the flow max size to 504 bytes. Since the word size
is doubled, there is some loss in compression efficiency. To counter
this some of the flow fields have been reordered to keep related
fields together (e.g., the source and destination IP addresses share
the same 64-bit word).

This change should speed up flow data processing on 64-bit CPUs, which
may help counterbalance the impact of making the struct flow bigger in
the future.

Classifier lookup stage boundaries are also changed to 64-bit
alignment, as the current algorithm depends on each miniflow word to
not be split between ranges. This has resulted in new padding (part
of the 'mpls_lse' field).

The 'dp_hash' field is also moved to packet metadata to eliminate
otherwise needed padding there. This allows the L4 to fit into one
64-bit word, and also makes matches on 'dp_hash' more efficient as
misses can be found already on stage 1.

de4ad4a215 classifier: Lockless and robust classifier iteration.
Previously, accurate iteration required writers to be excluded during
iteration. This patch adds an rculist to struct cls_subtable, and a
corresponding list node to struct cls_rule, which makes iteration more
straightforward, and allows the iterators to remain ignorant of the
internals of the cls_match. This new list allows iteration of rules
in the classifier by traversing the RCU-friendly subtables vector, and
the rculist of rules in each subtable.

Classifier modifications may be performed concurrently, but whether or
not the concurrent iterator sees those changes depends on the timing
of change. More specifically, an concurrent iterator:

- May or may not see a rule that is being inserted or removed.
- Will see either the new or the old version of a rule that is replaced.
- Will see all the other rules (that are not being modified).

Finally, The subtable's rculist also allows to make
classifier_rule_overlaps() lockless, which this patch also does.

Ethernet frames may contain padding after the IP payload. When
parsing IP packets, check the IP total size (IPv4) or IP payload size

payload without the l2 padding.

This helps avoiding parsing truncated transport headers, for example.

3c30d1118e lib/flow.h: Improve struct miniflow comment and definition.
Miniflows can nowadays be dynamically allocated to different inline
sizes, as done by lib/classifier.c, but this had not been documented
at the struct miniflow definition.

Also, MINI_N_INLINE had a different value for 32-bit and 64-bit builds
due to a historical reason. Now we use 8 for both.

Finally, use change the storage type of 'values_inline' to uint8_t, as
uint64_t looks kind of wide for a boolean, even though we intend the
bit be carved out from the uint64_t where 'map' resides.

28a560d97a lib/flow: Simplify miniflow accessors, add ipv6 support.
Add new macro MINIFLOW_MAP(FIELD) that returns the map covering the
given struct flow field.

Change the miniflow accessors to macros so that they can take the
field name directly.

Use these to add ipv6 support to miniflow_hash_5tuple().

Add ipv6 support to flow_hash_5tuple() as well so that these two
functions continue to return the same hash value for the corresponding
flows.

Also, simplify miniflow_get_metadata().

4f15074492 dpif-netdev: Use miniflow as a flow key.
Use miniflow as a flow key in the userspace datapath classifier. The
miniflow is expanded for upcalls, but for existing datapath flows, the
key need not be expanded.

2abf78ff55 classifier: Support miniflow as a key.
Support struct miniflow as a key for datapath flow lookup.

The new classifier interface classifier_lookup_miniflow_first() takes
a miniflow as a key and stops at the first match with no regard to
flow prioritites. This works only if the classifier has no
conflicting rules (as is the case with the userspace datapath
classifier).

b7807e4f64 lib/flow: Add miniflow accessors and miniflow_get_tcp_flags().
Add inlined generic accessors for miniflow integer type fields, and a
new miniflow_get_tcp_flags() usinge these. These will be used in a
later patch.

Some definitions also used in lib/packets.h had to be moved there to
resolve circular include dependencies. Similarly, some inline
functions using struct flow are now in lib/flow.h. IMO this is
cleaner, since now the lib/flow.h need not be included from
lib/packets.h.

419681daf1 lib/flow: Introduce miniflow_extract().
miniflow_extract() extracts packet headers directly to a miniflow,
which is a compressed form of the struct flow. This does not require
a large struct to be cleared to begin with, and accesses less memory.
These performance benefits should allow this to be used in the DPDK
datapath.

miniflow_extract() takes a miniflow as an input/output parameter. On
input the buffer for values to be extracted must be properly
initialized. On output the map contains ones for all the fields that
have been extracted.

Some struct flow fields are reordered to make miniflow_extract to
progress in the logical order.

Some explicit "inline" keywords are necessary for GCC to optimize this
properly. Also, macros are used for same reason instead of inline
functions for pushing data to the miniflow.

adcf00ba35 ofproto/bond: Implement bond megaflow using recirculation
Infrastructure to enable megaflow support for bond ports using
recirculation. This patch adds the following features:
* Generate RECIRC action when bond can benefit from recirculation.
* Populate post recirculation rules in a hidden table. Currently table 254.
* Uses post recirculation rules for bond rebalancing
* A recirculation implementation in dpif-netdev.

The goal of this patch is to be able to megaflow bond outputs and
thus greatly improve performance. However, this patch does not
actually improve the megaflow generation. It is left for a later commit.
